The President's Message

Welcome to ICF Philadelphia!

It is such an honor to be serving as the current President of the Chapter.  I would like to see    our Chapter continue to grow, make meaningful contributions to our local communities, and connect and inspire one another through dialogue.

Our chapter has approximately 300 credentialed coaches on the roster.  Wow!  With that base of talent, expertise and passion we can really make a difference in our local communities and the world!

The ICF Philadelphia Board of Directors is dedicated to bringing forth great programming that will augment and support your growth as a coach.  We are excited about the special events and the twice-annual Professional Development Days that are currently being planned.  Of course, networking with colleagues and participating in a vibrant community are integral parts of each of our meetings that build connections and camaraderie.

It’s really exciting to think about what is possible and what we could do.  Do you have some ideas?  Do you have a project you would love to launch? Well, we’d like to hear from you. There are so many ways for you to contribute and share with your colleagues and those interested in coaching.  So, don’t be shy, speak up, reach out and join our dynamic community!

For this year the guiding words for all that we do and create are:

·         Enthusiasm: excitement, doing what you love, being creative

·         Ease: contributing effortlessly without stress

·         Efficiency: accomplishing great things with a minimum expenditure of time and effort

·         Fun: the willingness to be in the moment and find joy or experience lighthearted pleasure

And so, I’m looking forward to this year and hope you are as well.

Cheers!

Lynn Meinke

The ICF Philadelphia Story

In 1998, two coaches sat around a small table at the City Line Diner imagining what a community of coaches in Philadelphia might look like. This small gathering quickly blossomed into three members and then four. Before long, a name and a larger venue needed to be chosen. For many years our name was the Philadelphia Area Coaches Alliance, or PACA, for short.

Today we’re known as ICF Philadelphia. With over 300 active members, ICF Philadelphia is the premier professional resource for both coaches and clients in the Greater Philadelphia area. Members’ practices include areas of expertise in Executive Coaching, Corporate Coaching, Business Coaching, Career Coaching, Group Coaching, Individual Coaching, Health and Fitness Coaching, Transition Coaching and various other specialties.
