August 6, 2018
7:00 PM - 8:15 PM
Socrates was an artist at powerful questioning; are you? How do you effectively elicit what is within a client and bring it forward? Is your questioning an inquisition? Does your questioning lead to greater awareness or are you gathering information? What is the difference between powerful questions and powerful questioning? Does your questioning lead the client beyond current thinking to new or expanded ways of thinking?
Masterful questioning moves your clients to greater clarity, awareness and better choices. Powerful questioning inquires about the future about the person, his/her situation and his/her desires. We will identify two very simple techniques for doing powerful questioning that support or challenge your clients’ thinking and actions and move them to what they want. Also, learn about the behaviors that demonstrate your mastery of powerful questioning through the ICF PCC Markers.
