Coaching to the Core: Session 3 - Establishes and Maintains Agreements

ICF Philadelphia is thrilled to offer Coaching to the Core: A Training Series on the ICF Competencies as part of our 2025 Community of Practice series. Lisa Pachence - MCC, Owner of LP Coaching, Mentor Coach, Coach-Trainer, and Speaker - will lead an engaging 8-part series that takes a deep dive into the ICF core competencies, unwraps the PCC Markers (for competencies 3-8), and helps coaches deepen their client impact using the competency framework. These virtual meetings include 15 minutes of networking with attendees and 1 hour of active application of the ICF Core Competencies.

This Core Competency series is designed to Engage, Enlighten, and Elevate your relationship with the core competencies and, consequently, your coaching practice. Expect to:

1. ENGAGE with the core competencies, with your colleagues, and with common client challenges to deepen the agility of your coaching.

2. ENLIGHTEN yourself with the intention behind each competency and PCC Marker, seeing how the art of coaching comes to life through this framework.

3. ELEVATE the power of your coaching by revealing new insights, enhancing your skills and confidence, and acquiring new methods to increase your impact and strengthen your stand as a coach.

To continue delivering the highest level of professionalism and impact in coaching, the new ICF Core Competencies were implemented in 2021, along with the PCC Markers (and later, with the ACC BARS and the MCC BARS). The Eight Core Competencies provides a stronger and clearer framework to the ethics, agreements, trust-building, and partnership that are fundamental to the coaching industry. Understanding the core competencies is a crucial part of a coach’s continuing professional development, while integrating the PCC Markers hones the application of those competencies to uplevel your coaching impact – something we’re dedicated to as ICF coaches. Participation will earn Continuing Coach Education credits.
